Boys and Girls Club of Delaware / Harlem Globetrotters Ticket Distribution – March 2, 2011
Sweet Georgia Brown! Horizon Services and The Wilmington News Journal are pleased to welcome the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters to the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, DE on Tuesday, March 15 at 7:00 p.m. for an evening of family fun. Founded in 1926, the Globetrotters — a.k.a. The Clown Princes of Basketball — have amazed and delighted people of all ages and all over the world with their patented blend of athleticism, theater and comedy.
On Wednesday, March 2, 2011, the Horizon Helps team visited the Clarence Fraim Boys & Girls Club of Delaware to present executive director Phil Arendall with 100 Globetrotters tickets to be distributed to Boys & Girls Clubs members and their families. Enjoy the game, kids!
Operation Warm 2010 Coat Drive Kick-Off – December 12, 2010
Horizon Helps and Operation Warm kicked off their 2010 coat drive and distribution program donating 80 winter coats to needy kids at the West Center City Early Learning Center in Wilmington, DE on December 10, 2010. For the second year in a row, Horizon Services will donate $5 from every service call in December 2010 to raise money for Operation Warm. Our goal is $15,000 — enough for 1000 coats. We’re making sure that no child in the Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland goes cold this winter.
33rd Annual Brian’s Run – December 6, 2010
Horizon Helps took part in the 33rd Annual Brian’s Run in West Chester, PA on 12/6/2010. This year’s race benefited Homes for Our Troops and Camp Joy. Horizon Services sponsored the Kid’s Race.
Delaware Mud Run – September 26, 2010
Horizon Services and the Horizon Helps team sponsored The Delaware Mud Run — Delaware’s DIRTIEST 5K Event — on 9/26/10 in Middletown, DE. Proceeds benefited the Leukemia Research Foundation of Delaware.
Tour de Lance 5K Run/Walk — August 18, 2010
Horizon Services and the Horizon Helps team sponsored the Tour de Lance 5K Run/Walk in Wilmington, DE on 8/18/2010 benefiting LiveStrong and the Lance Armstrong Foundation in their work for cancer survivors in the Delaware Valley.

Emmanuel Dining Room; Wilmington, DE — July, 29, 2010
On July 29, 2010, members of the Horizon Helps team lent a helping hand to the The Ministry of Caring’s Emmanuel Dining Room in Wilmington, DE, serving hundreds of nutritious meals to the hungry, the homeless and those in need. Wilmington Flower Market – May 6-8, 2010
Horizon Services was the presenting sponsor of the live entertainment at The Wilmington Flower Market, May 6-8, 2010. The event benefited over 50 children’s charities in Delaware.
Christina River Cleanup — 4/10/10
On April 10, 2010, 33 hearty Horizon Services employees and their families braved the early morning chill to take part in the Christina River Cleanup in New Castle County, removing hundreds of pounds of garbage and debris.
2010 Horizon Services Youth Sports Sponsorships
