Horizon Presents Live Entertainment at 90th Annual Wilmington Flower Market!

Join Horizon Services at the Wilmington Flower Market -- May 6-8, 2010!
(WILMINGTON, DE; April 14, 2010) — The Wilmington Flower Market returns to Rockford Park for its 90th year, May 6-8, 2010, and Horizon Services, Inc. – the Delaware Valley’s premier plumbing, heating and air conditoning company — is proud to have a big role in this year’s festivities as the presenting sponsor for this year’s entertainment lineup.
The Wilmington Flower Market benefits over 50 children’s charities in Delaware, and always runs in conjunction with Mother’s Day. This year’s Flower Market will be held Thursday through Saturday, May 6-8, 10am-7pm each day, and will include crafts, booths, rides, food, fun, and flowers galore. Each day’s events are completely FREE!
Entertainment for this year’s Wilmington Flower Market is provided by 93.7 WSTW and 1150AM WDEL and will be presented by Horizon Services on the Arby’s Concert Stage. The variety of entertainment offers fun for all ages and includes special visits from national recording artists Cartel and We the Kings, plus Philadelphia Eagles Tight End Brent Celek.
“You know that spring has officially arrived in Delaware when the Wilmington Flower Market returns,” said Mark Aitken, vice-president and co-owner of Horizon Services. “We are extremely excited to be a part of this great event and even more proud of the community organizations that the Flower Market benefits.”
Employee volunteers from Horizon Services will be taking part at both the Flower Market itself as well as at the 28th Annual Flower Market 5K Run/Walk on April 25. It’s part of Horizon’s new Horizon Helps! community service initiative.

Flower Market 5K Run/Walk
The 28th Annual Flower Market 5K Run/Walk will take place Sunday, April 25th, on a USATF certified course at Rockford Park. Registration opens at Noon. Kiddie K starts at 12:50pm and is free to those under 10 years of age. Race begins at 1pm. Cost is $16 through April 22, $20 day of event. T-shirts, refreshments and prizes awarded to runners and walkers. Register Online Here!

- I-95 South into Wilmington, DE
- Take exit 7B (North Rt 52 / Delaware Avenue).
- Turn right at the light at the end of the exit ramp.
- Stay left at the Pennsylvania Avenue and Delaware Avenue split onto Pennsylvania Avenue.
- Follow Pennsylvania Avenue to Rising Sun Lane (just past Tower Road, which is opposite the University of Delaware Willcastle Campus).
- Turn right onto Rising Sun Lane.
- Follow Rising Sun Lane to 19th Street, and turn right onto 19th Street.
- The Main Entrance to Rockford Park is on the left at Tower Road.
- Look for a parking attendant!
From the South:
