It's Impossible To Miss Horizon's New Bus Advertising in Delaware and Pennsylvania!

(WILMINGTON, DE/EXTON, PA; July 13, 2009) — Commuters, motorists and pedestrians in Delaware and Pennsylvania now have a lot more to look forward to on the region’s roadways than traffic jams and speed traps.

Horizon Services, Inc. – the premier plumbing, heating and air conditioning company in Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland — has just launched a year-long advertising campaign with two of the region’s largest transit systems.  The exteriors of over a half-dozen buses operated by DART in Delaware and SEPTA in Pennsylvania have been decked out front to end with Horizon’s familiar orange, white and blue colors and are currently rolling on the area’s streets and highways.

Mark Aitken, president of Horizon Services, explains the rationale behind this unique marketing effort.

”Horizon Services is almost as well-known for our unmistakable orange trucks as we are for our commitment to service, value and quality,” said Aitken. “You can’t go anywhere in Delaware, Pennsylvania or Maryland without seeing one of our trucks on the road; they’re really hard to miss. Now imagine a big, 40-ft. bus painted in those same colors with our logo and advertising cruising down the road…you’re talking about maximum visibility!”

The brightly-colored orange buses have already begun to turn heads and draw positive response from area residents.

“I was on Route 202 the other day when I saw this large, orange object coming towards me out of the corner of my eye,” said Karen Creyton of Glen Mills, PA. “It was a Horizon bus. It must have been at least a quarter-mile away, but it still drew my attention. It’s almost impossible to miss–it’s like a big orange missile!”

Buses with the Horizon colors and ads began running in late June and will continue to do so until the end of 2009.  DART buses will run on various routes throughout New Castle County, DE;  SEPTA buses will run on Route 30 (Lancaster Ave.) along the Main Line in Philadelphia’s western suburbs, as well as various arteries in Chester County, PA.
