Horizon Teams Up With Operation Warm — Launches Coat Drive for Needy Kids

OperationWarm185The Delaware Valley’s Premier Heating Company Aims to Deliver 1000 Coats So No Child Goes Cold This Winter!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(WILMINGTON, DE / EXTON, PA; December 7, 2009) —  Horizon Services, Inc. — the leading plumbing, heating and air conditioning services and installation company in Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland — has announced that they are joining forces with Operation Warm and WJBR Radio over the holiday season to provide winter coats for needy children throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Headquartered in Chadds Ford, PA, Operation Warm is a non-profit organization that provides new, high quality coats to children who cannot afford them. These coats provide more than just warmth; they allow children to attend school, improve their self-esteem, and allow their families to spend money on other critical essentials such as food, rent and fuel.

This year’s campaign runs from November 30 – December 27, 2009. During the month of December, Horizon Services has committed to donating $5 from each service call invoiced.

“A $15 donation to Operation Warm buys one coat for a child who might otherwise go cold this winter,” said Mark Aitken, co-owner of Horizon Services. “Our goal is to contribute enough for at least 1000 coats. To reach this goal, we encourage all homeowners who may have been putting off any plumbing or heating service to schedule service with Horizon this month, because a portion of their bill will go to this worthwhile cause and make a difference in a child’s life.”
