(WILMINGTON, DE ; July 12, 2010) — Horizon Services, Inc. – the premier plumbing, heating and air conditioning services and installation company serving Delaware, Southeast Pennsylvania and Maryland — is pleased to announce that they will be the presenting sponsor of the 2010 Tour de Lance 5K Run/Walk, benefiting LIVESTRONG Delaware, part of the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
Founded by cancer survivor and champion cyclist Lance Armstrong, LIVESTRONG is a non-profit organization that fights to raise awareness for and improve the lives of people affected by cancer. Over the past 10 years, LIVESTRONG has raised millions of dollars to help cancer survivors and their families across the nation and around the world.
Now in its 6th year, the Tour de Lance has grown to be one of the region’s most-popular fundraising events, attracting runners and walkers from across the Delaware Valley and beyond. Money raised by the Tour de Lance will go to support LIVESTRONG’s programs and services in the region and nationally.
Horizon Services is not only sponsoring this year’s Tour de Lance event, many of its employees will be volunteering at the event and participating in the Run/Walk as part of Horizon Helps!, the company’s community service initiative.

The 2010 Tour de Lance will take place along the Riverfront in Wilmington, DE on Wednesday, August 18, 2010. All participants will receive a bundle of FREE GIFTS which include: a T-shirt, metal water bottle, USB flash drive, a ticket to see the Wilmington Blue Rocks and admission to a post-race party. Awards will be given to top finishers in a variety of categories. There will also be a FREE kids fun run for children age 7 and under. A splendid time is guaranteed for all!
