Horizon and Les Brown Wow the Crowd in Wilmington!

Motivational Speaker Les Brown makes his point at a free, live seminar in Wilmington, DE hosted by Horizon Services, Inc.
(WILMINGTON, DE; April 24, 2010) — More than 1,200 men, women and children from across Delaware, Pennsylania and Maryland took the first step today toward living their dreams and taking their lives to new levels of personal and professional achievement.
The occasion was a free, live seminar at the Chase Center in Wilmington, DE hosted by Horizon Services, Inc. featuring popular motivational speaker Les Brown, one of the nation’s most respected public speakers and a leading authority in understanding and stimulating human potential. Also a best-selling author, his straight-from-the-heart, high-energy and uplifting message has inspired thousands around the world to improve their lives, understand their true potential and live their dreams.
The 2-1/2 hour seminar, entitled Live Up To Your Greatness provided the enthusiastic crowd with a full program of inspiration and motivation.
Opening speaker Kenny Chapman warmed the audience up by recounting his own personal story of success and entrepreneurship which took him from being an aimless young man to the creator and owner of 9 different companies. Chapman shared lessons from his best-selling book, The Six Dimensions of C.H.A.N.G.E. to show the audience how they can start to make positive changes in their lives, resist settling for less and begin living the lives they’ve always wanted.
The star of the show, however was the dynamic and affable Mr. Brown who fired up the sold-out crowd with tips and advice on how to set and achieve goals, channel energy and effort, improve relationships, promote wellness and seek self-empowerment.
“You have got to be HUNGRY for success, happiness and greatness in order to achieve these things,” Brown told the audience. “To turn your dreams into reality, you have to have a passion that runs throughout your entire being and you have to be prepared to pursue those dreams with everything you’ve got. There is no half-heartedness about it. It’s all or nothing.”
Mr. Brown also commended Horizon Services for hosting the event and being a living example of the principles he preaches.
“One of the secrets to finding success in this world is to work harder, faster and better than the next guy and always give your best,” he said. “Horizon Services is an example of a company that does just that. According to Mark Aitken, Horizon Services vice-president and co-owner, another element in the formula for success for both individuals and companies is having a sense of community.
