Kevin & Vidal arrived ahead of time and began the installation of our Air Conditioner and Humidifier. They were very professional as they prepared our floors with the protective covering to prevent damaging the floors and stair way.They completed the installation of both units the same day. Both men were professional and courteous. After they finished Vidal took the time to explain the proper method to program the system to suit our confort level, also how to get the help we need if we had difficulty with it. They took up the floor covering and removed all trash from the floor.
Ed Montgomery professionally performed the yearly check of our heating and air conditioning system in March, the anniversary of our installation of a Trane system. We can request a change in service dates, but winter visits often do not allow accurate measurement of coolant pressure, because of low temperature. In fact the instruction book says not to run the air conditioner until it warms up for 3 hours after not being used for 3 hours. Often wonder why Horizon does these checks in winter; I suppose it balances the work load, and sympathize with that reason to keep folks employed during the winter. Ed did explain that running the air conditioner a minute for electrical tests would not hurt it. It would be good to equip trucks with replacement insulation for outside tubing, since this insulation often deteriorates or is possibly eaten by mice. With the service calls, we’ve had no problems with the air conditioner since it was installed 6 years ago.
Our new A/C system was installed Feb. 2012. Scott came to the house to present all the information we needed to make a decision. He was very professional. The next day the crew came to install our system. Very prompt, courteous, informative and clean. Our system was done in one day while I was at work. When I returned home I was given all the information I needed to run the system. Everything was cleaned up and the old system removed. I could not ask for a better group of people to deal with during this installation. COME ON HOT WEATHER.
Horizon installed a new A/C system for me in February 2011. Gave me a great price and the installers were very professional, did a great job with the install. Now it is February 2012 and had the unit checked to be certain it is operating properly, ready to go for this year. Matt performed this service for me. He was prompt, right on time, courteous (put on his booties before stepping into my home), informed me of some filter options for the unit, but didn’t pressure me into buying anything. Horizon services my boiler as well and will always be who I turn to in the future for such service.
I was pricing new HVAC systems and Horizon was the second company that came out to assess what I needed. Mike Mendick was the person that came out to the house and he was absolutely the most professional and informative person that I could have hoped to deal with. My furnace was relatively new, and I was looking to add on A/C, a humidifier, and a new condenser unit outside. The former owners of my home had installed a Lennox gas furnace in November of 2010. Mike gave me all of my options and Horizon was more affordable than the previous company’s bid. I appreciated the great financing options at Horizon, also. The installation crew was top notch and came out next day! I never even knew they were there. The basement was just as clean as I left it. The system is fantastic and I can’t say enough about how great Horizon Services is. I plan on using them as long as I live here to do the annual servicing.
My out dated unit broke down and Horizon came right in and saved the day! I have had the new heater for two years and have had Horizon out twice to do annual service checks. They are professional and courteous. When the unit was installed Horizon Techs found that my crawlspace was under water. By the time I was informed about the water, Horizon Techs had made arrangements for a pump to be brought to my house and were already pumping the water out. Point being. I was not inconvenienced nor did I have to pay any extra charges. It was awesome! I have not had a problem at all with the unit or service.
I used another local company for YEARS. I am very loyal. I called them to clean my heater, not even service, just clean. They would not get me on the schedule until spring. After all the years with them! I got a flyer from Horizon, called that day and they scheduled me immediately. They were prompt, friendly, clean and very helpful! I am switching for good now!
I received a phone call this morning asking if the technician could arrive early due to a cancellation. I agreed and he arrived on the early side of the “window” of time. He explained to me what he was doing and offered suggestions on how to better take care of the heater and air conditioner. He didn’t pressure me into making a decision about something he thought would be helpful – he just informed me. He was very pleasant.
